Owls in Nevada: Where to See Them and How to Identify Them

Most sightings happen in southern Nevada, especially around Las Vegas. The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area and Red Rock Canyon are reliable spots. In the north, Great Basin National Park and Ruby Lake National Wildlife Refuge hold resident owls. Burrowing Owls prefer open plains and agricultural areas.
